Coach Dan's Update

Jaguars - I want to thank everyone who helped with the Post District Championship last Friday. We really have some great parents and some very loyal swimmers who sacrificed their time to make this a successful meet. For most of our athletes, this was the culminating swim competition for the 2009-2010 season. We do have 13 swim and divers who are still in the mix for a chance to compete at state this year so we will focus our attention to them as they prepare. The team will officially transition to the off season beginning next week with continued strength and technique training. Beginning the first week of March, we will officially start practice for Our Water Polo and Triathlon teams. Training in the off season is limited to 1 hour daily so the class will end at 4:05 until the end of the year.

Athletes need to bring their dryland and swimming gear to practice everyday starting next week.

Swimmers going to Region II champs on Friday will leave the School at 10:45 (They will go to 1st Period then meet in the lunch room). We will travel to Mansfield with Marcus and Lewisville, stopping to eat on the way. The district is providing funds for their meal but they will need to bring extra money because it will not be enough to completely cover their tab. Swimmers will need to be at the school at 1PM on Saturday for transportation to the meet. Warm ups on Friday and Saturday start a 2PM with the competition beginning at 3:30. We expect the competition on Friday to go until around 7:30 to 8 PM. I would like to eat together as a team after the competition on Saturday.

All Athletes who are no longer competing need to turn in their gear.
This includes Team Warm ups, Bag, and Parkas. All gear needs to be cleaned, folded, and put inside the team bag for turn in.

Have a great week!
