More Banquet Information
Swimmers, Divers, Coaches and Parents,
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Preparation for the 2007-2008 Swim and Dive Banquet is underway. This year, the venue has changed - the banquet will be held at the Bridlewood Golf and Country Club, on SUNDAY, APRIL 6th from 5:30 to 9:00 pm.
You will receive a formal invitation in the mail - you must RSVP, and include a check to cover all non-athlete attendees (swimmers, divers and coaches are paid for by the Booster Club).
For those who have not attended the banquet before, it is a more formal event in that the swimmers wear dresses and dress pants - a good opportunity for photos. Check-in is at 5:30 AND dinner will be at 6:00; it is followed by an agenda that includes awards, senior roasts by their little sister/brother, and a farewell from each senior. A slide show that covers photos from the year tops the evening (and is for sale for $5.00).
A team of parents works on the banquet, and I want to thank the parents who have already agreeed to be involved again this year. The team needs new volunteers as well, as this will be my last year organizing the event along with several other parents of seniors. We will be having an organizational meeting at my home next SUNDAY, JANUARY 20th at 4:00 pm. Please let me know if you are interested in being on the committee and can attend.
Lastly, for the slide show presentation, we need photos from everyone from all the events. My husband has agreed to be the repository for the photos (send to michealssawyer@msn.com) or burn a CD and drop it off. In addition, if you are a senior parent, you will be contacted for some 'special' photos.
